INCREASE YOUR SPEED

This is  to increase your broadband connection speed.

This is for broadband connections though it may work for dial up connections also.

First make sure that you have logged into your computer as administrator.

1. Start -> Run -> type :"gpedit.msc" (or) windows button + r
   
2. Expand the "Local Computer Policy" branch.
3. Expand the "Administrative templates" branch.
4. Expand the "Network" Branch.
5. Highlight "QoS Packet Scheduler" in left window.
6. In right window double click on the "Limit Reservable  Bandwidth"
7. On settings tab check the "Enabled" item.
8. Where it says "Bandwidth limit %" is '20' change it to read '0'

Effect is immediate in some systems, some needs to re-boot. This what XP does" thing. In other words, program can request up to reserved for them, even with QoS disabled.
